USW Local 21 President Gerald Kell presents a check in the amount of to the U.P. Labor-Management Council on behalf of the Local 21 membership. The check represents one hour of wages donated by each member of Local 21.
Organized in 1971, the Upper Peninsula Labor-Management Council, Inc. is established to serve as a representative group from both labor and management in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Council was formed with the belief by both labor and management that the goals of each side are harmonious in most cases, and that there should be a separate and distinct organization that both sides can participate in to further their mutual goal.

The U.P. Labor-Management Council, Inc. has selected the Oakcrest Golf Course in Norway MI, as the host site for its Annual Golf Outing. The annual four-person scramble has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, 2024. The shotgun start will begin at 10:00 A.M. (CST). Entry fee includes golf (18 holes), cart, continental breakfast, lunch, beverages and fabulous prizes.
Complimentary auxiliary prizes are also being awarded for hole-in-ones on any of the non-target part three holes. The Council encourages a mix of labor and management. For more information contact the Council office at 906-399-8018.
